What do I sing?
For a decade I specialized in Handel, Bach’s Evangelists, and Benjamin Britten. As my voice has developed more recently, I’ve branched out — Beethoven and Mendelssohn, then opera roles of greater breadth, especially in French. The tenor lead in Julien Bilodeau’s La Reine-garçon, which I premiered in 2024, is representative: “agile both vocally and physically”, with “immense stage presence, and a powerful and beautiful instrument.”
Where do I sing?
I sing all over North America. I live in Canada (dual citizen U.S./Canada), and up here I’ve sung with all the major orchestras and most of the opera companies. Down in the States it’s been mostly concerts. Some career highlights include Lincoln Center and B.A.M. with Mark Morris Dance Group, Carnegie Hall, two premieres at the Canadian Opera Company, many lucky returns to Opéra de Montréal, the Aldeburgh and Edinburgh Festivals, the National Arts Centre Orchestra, and the Vancouver Opera.
